A Crazy Simple Method to Make $9000/mo Profit With Amazon

Three and a half years ago, with about $16,000, we embarked on an Amazon journey that today brings in $7,000 to $9,000 in monthly profit.

Sounds crazy, right? But it’s real—and it’s simple.

Here’s a bit about us (so you don’t take us for yet another GURU selling dreams with no practical experience):

We started our Amazon Journey back in 2018 but our experience in digital marketing spans over a decade, starting from 2013.

Over the past 7 years, we have started and run 5 of our own brands on Amazon, 2 of which have been sold to their new owners. We have proudly served over 1000 clients for PL, wholesale and design services. Our team now spans a total of 35+ members. And we have collectively sold over $30M worth of physical products on our own and partner Amazon accounts.

But today, it’s not about all of this:

1. It’s about a test that we did as partners.

2. A risk that we took that now brings us $7000-$9000/mo in profits every month in just one of our OWN accounts (excluding the ones of our clients/partners)

3. And this is something that all of you can REPLICATE at the scale of your choosing.

Spoiler Number 1: This is not a step-by-step guide.

There PLENTY of resources online that can tell you the nitty gritty of this process. We’re here to tell you the INSIDER SECRETS that have worked for us and are time tested, that you won’t easily find elsewhere online. 

Spoiler Number 2: This is NOT anything new.

I bet most of you have heard or learned about it recently or in the past. What we want to do today is to inspire you to take action and let you trust the process, and to experience what is possible.

Spoiler Number 3: It is NOT a get-rich-quick method. 

It takes time. It takes effort. It has risks (although the least of all models on Amazon). AND it requires money! We can’t make money out of thin air, after all?

Finally: This is NOT Amazon Private Label

Where, at this moment in time, you need to have at least $20k or upwards just to give things A TEST RUN. You then need another year or two to break even and then start profiting. Not to mention more and more money you’ll need to keep injecting for new product launches and inventory reorders.

Don’t get us wrong, though. Private Label (PL) on Amazon is GREAT. We HAVE been and STILL doing it for ourselves and clients for the past 7 years. But it’s definitely NOT for everybody.

Our Journey to $9k/mo Profit on Amazon

Starting Ingredients: 

– $16,000 in initial investment

– A curious mind

– A risk appetite 

– And a “never give up” mind set (because you need them all when doing something new)

The Working Model: Amazon FBA Wholesale

Told you, what we did isn’t new at all (even at the time when we started it).

Here’s what FBA Wholesale is in a nutshell:

1. Find out a profitable wholesale product on Amazon

2. Research the brand behind it

3. Outreach the brand and apply for a wholesale partnership

4. Order inventory from brand and ship it to Amazon

5. Manage Amazon to get max sales and profits

6. Plan inventory and reorder

7. Rinse and repeat!

3 Pillars of FBA Wholesale That Matter the Most

1. ONLY picking the best products or brands

2. Putting REAL effort in building relationships with brands and suppliers

3. Proactive cash flow management

Let’s delve into a bit more details into each of these.

1. How We Pick the Best Products & Brands to Sell

a. The Goldilock Selling Price: Never go below $25. We’ve had best success with $100+ priced products

b. FBA + Referral fee should not exceed 30% of selling price. For example: If the product price is $10, all Amazon fees on selling it should not be above $3. This will help you keep a healthy profit margin and ROI.

2. The Secrets of Getting a YES from Brands

a.  You need to make a good first impression

Set up a good wholesale website, with a fairly big product catalog and not dummy details. Make a unique official email from your company domain and only use this to contact brands.

b. Be careful of the details you in the first email

Ask for specific things like: Price list, Brand authorization, Order MOQ, Allowing to sell on Amazon or not. This will ensure you don’t come off as unprofessional or inexperienced in the eyes of the brands.

Here’s an example of our first email to brands:

3. Proactive Cash Flow Management

RULE OF THUMB: Never let your cash sit idle. This sounds SO simple yet it is VERY easily ignored.

Amazon tells you when and how much cash they’re going to release from your account. You should plan inventory reordering based on that. As soon as the cash lands in your bank account from Amazon, you should place the new order with the brand or supplier.

Amazon Wholesale Maths

If you don’t know your numbers, you don’t know your business. That’s it. Wrap your head around these key variables that matter the most in your wholesale business on Amazon: 

1. Lead time

Includes: order confirmation time, and time for inventory manufacturing and shipping to Amazon. It usually takes 2-3 weeks.

2. Sell-through Time

This means days it takes for your inventory to fully sell-out on Amazon. It should never exceed 60 days (unless you have ROI above 30%). Based on competition and sales, you should only order units that you are confident to sell within 30-45 days.

3. ROI

Means how much money you will be returned to you as profit compared to the inventory cost.

Let me explain this all through an example:

Product cost: $50/unit

Price on Amazon: $100/unit

Amazon Fees: $35

Profit per unit: $10

ROI: 20% (i.e. profit per unit / product cost)

Lead Time: 20 Days

Sell-through Time: 60 days

Let’s say, you sell 100 units of this product, that means:

Product Cost ($50×100) =  $5000 

Total Profit ($15×100) = $1,000

Total ROI = 20%

Total Time Spent = 80 days

Repeat the cycle 4-5 times in a year and you’ll get 80-100% ROI! Withdraw profits or reinvest for a snowball effect!

Let’s just not take our words for it. Let me show you through the real time progress of our test account (the one did all the testing and experimentation on, which now helps us replicate it to dozens of our partner accounts).
