 About Muhammad Shahzaib

Muhammad Shahzaib is an impact-driven environmental engineer and Founder & CEO of Green Upshot (SMC-Private) Limited, a climate-tech startup committed to reducing plastic pollution and promoting sustainable living in Pakistan.

Growing up surrounded by the visible consequences of plastic waste, Shahzaib turned concern into commitment. What began as a personal mission to reduce single-use plastics evolved into Green Upshot—a purpose-led venture offering eco-friendly essentials designed to replace plastic in everyday life.

Under his leadership, Green Upshot has reduced over 20,000 kg of plastic, planted 100+ trees, and reached more than 3 million people through awareness campaigns, school drives, and corporate sustainability partnerships aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company’s incubation at the National Incubation Center Lahore validated both its scalability and long-term impact potential.

Shahzaib has collaborated with leading organizations including WWF-Pakistan, Jazz, Coca-Cola, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and German Red Cross, empowering youth, institutions, and corporations to integrate sustainability into both lifestyle and business models.

For Shahzaib, Green Upshot is more than a company it is a growing movement toward conscious consumption, circular innovation, and collective climate responsibility. His long-term vision is to expand globally, ensuring environmental responsibility becomes the norm, not the exception.
